Buddy Daddies - Episode 5 NEW!

This is the most charming way to set up a "table setting" episode as Kazuki and Rei have to come clean with Kyu. The two assassins have been out of work ever since they took in Miri, and the family bank account is getting tight. It might even cut into former rich boy Rei's video game budget! The pair try to take on a few low-key surveillance assignments to bring in some dough, but COVID shuts down Miri's daycare leaving Kazuki and Rei pulling all-nighters to try to meet their deadline. They finally get a reprieve when Miri, in an attempt to finish her homework about what her dads do for a living, goes missing and winds up in Kyu's café with a tall glass of juice.

Buddy Daddies - Episode 5

Viewers might be disappointed that the series returns to its status quo after all the work to get Miri into daycare. I would have preferred this episode to air next week; give us one "the boys do a job" episode before throwing them back into the exhausting life of working parents. That's the only gripe I can muster for what is otherwise another goofy episode filled with memeable Miri faces and Kazuki absolutely losing it. The series continues to establish that, besides the whole murder-for-hire bit, Kazuki and Rei have grown into their role as parents. Kazuki has come a long way from abandoning the kitten in the box in episode one.

We also get another glimpse of the intimidating assassin that's back in town. He first showed up at the café in episode two, but this marks the first time we've gotten a clear look at his face after Miri bumps right into him. He's still an enigma, but I'd bet at least two whole donuts that he will cross The Daddies' path in the future.

While there's not much to speak of narratively in this episode, I want to acknowledge how consistently nice the series looks and the staff's continued efforts to differentiate Miri from Anya. We haven't seen anything resembling the excellent action in episode one, but the show makes up for it in the background department. I'm continually impressed by the skyscapes and the day-to-day locations in the series. Places like Miri's classroom, the park, and Rei and Kazuki's condo feel lived in with exceptional attention to detail. Readers have expressed mixed feelings about Miri's relentless optimism and exhausting shenanigans, but I can't help but be charmed by Hina Kino's performance. She has that giggle down pat.

I really hope we get see more anime in future similar buddy daddies and spy x family!Like they dont even have a kid character to take care of,I just want a group of characters who have dangerous jobs but grow strong bond with each other time.I once joked buddy daddies is basically spy x family meets my two dads.(which it is)but I want more anime version of old sitcom with splash of sxf.

Upon the discovery of an underground tunnel beneath the village, 9S and 2B stumble across a strange mask, with the former deciding to hack into it, until being booted out by his own system, stating that it's "forbidden knowledge". Meanwhile, the two machine androids from episode 3, now calling themselves, Adam and Eve discuss human etiquette based off literature.

The biggest theme of this episode is the importance of knowledge and the dangers of ignorance. This can be seen when Adam and Eve are discovering and imitating past human behavior, such as wearing undergarments and eating. Additionally, Lily's decision to help the machine village, by building a rapport is beneficial for a mutual understanding. But everyone here tackles knowledge differently. Pascal states that reading is his favorite pastime, and so his ability to communicate is much more advanced. For 9S on the other hand, his thirst for knowledge goes much farther. Upon their encounter with the mask stuck in the tree (who we will later on discover is Emil from NieR: Replicant), the first thing 9S does is boast about his opportunity to show off his skills, and hacks right into it, despite not needing to do so. And what he discovers is quite curious.

  • Episode 4 Rei gets unwillfully dragged everywhere by Kazuki in this episode. Each time he tries to trudge away, the music stops playing as he's shown to be dragged or unhappily pouting throughout the process of getting Miri into daycare.

  • Kazuki insists that they buy Miri some nice clothes so she can "assert dominance" at daycare.

  • Rei reads off the list of things Kazuki has to prepare for Miri's daycare. That goes for writing her name on everything, which leads to Kazuki slowly looking back at all the bags of fancy clothes he bought for Miri. Rei lets Miri write on one of her expensive dresses, causing Kazuki to almost have a heart attack.

  • Rei passes out partway into the night as he sews Miri's name onto her clothes and towels.

  • The trio arrive at the daycare dressed to the nines with some of the mothers even taking notice. The two who politely greet Kazuki immediately turn to their group chat with the other mothers in it. A lot of the messages talk about how handsome Kazuki and Rei are. Anna says it must be hard to look after Miri for the two men, with Rei replying it was since they were hitmen. Anna gives a Wait, What? reaction as Kazuki immediately pulls on a fake laugh as he elbows Rei in the ribs. The mothers nearby hear this, and the chat quickly devolves into asking the men to take out their husbands.

  • When they finally arrive at the daycare, Kazuki is told that he wouldn't be able to give her the bento he made since they provide food at the daycare. Rei forlornly mutters at how they stayed up all night preparing all of that for Miri. Kazuki: You fell asleep!

  • Thanks to Anna's help, the family go to a budget department store to buy Miri clothes that will help her fit in. Given their jobs, Rei and Kazuki are amazed at the cheap prices and Kazuki is brought to tears.

  • Episode 5 Miri's homework: a presentation on Daddy's job. The timing couldn't have been worse: Kazuki and Rei are desperately getting new assignments done to get some cash after spending so much on Miri, and she has to stay home for a few days due to a virus' spread at school.

  • After the duo left Miri in Kyutaro's care in order to carry out their assignment, Rei mentions that Kyutaro is a ladies' man. Kazuki immediately freaks out to the point of imagining Miri getting married to Kyutaro.

  • Miri asks Kyutaro about her daddies' jobs, because they won't tell her. Kyutaro proceeds to tell her that Kazuki is stand-up comedian who's too ashamed of his lack of success that he refuses to tell anyone about his job, and Rei is an Arab Oil Sheikh of all things. Subsequently, Miri draws her daddies for the presentation, with Rei clad in an Arab outfit. Her presentation leaves the entire class in awe, with the mothers enthusiastically talking about her daddies in their group chat again.

Some episodes had two versions, an American version and a Canadian version, often with alternate sketches. This episode guide is based on the official DVD releases. The first three seasons use the American versions of the episodes because HBO would allow more to be shown than the CBC. Seasons 4 and 5 use the Canadian versions because the CBC allowed more to be shown than CBS.

Are you excited about Buddy Daddies Episode 5? We are in the same boat, then!! After an amazing past episode, where our protagonists Rei and Kazuki have realized that taking care of a small child for four years old, is surely not their thing, the interest of the audience in the story has recently raised a lot.

As they are really facing different challenging in the babysitting of Miri, she is, in fact, enjoying herself and wreaking havoc around them. This also affects the secret missions of our boys, Rei and Kazuki. In order to solve this problem, they let Miri join a daycare, as we saw in the recent episode, which certainly gave them a little bit of freedom.

In the recent episode of the series, we saw that when Mari caused a lot of trouble in the working life of our boys, Kazuki and Rei mutually decided to enroll her in a daycare center, which can take care of her in their absence, and they can also work efficiently. However, as both the papas of the little girl, Miri, are assassins, they do not have any legal documents that they can provide to the government before enrolling her in the daycare.
